Homemade potato chips
- 1 whole Large Russett Or Sweet Potato
- 1 quart Oil, For Frying
- 1 dash Salt (or Sea Salt)
Peel the potato or if you prefer, you can leave skin on and scrub to wash it.
Very thinly slice the raw potato by hand or with a food processor. I find doing it by hand doesn’t get it thin enough.
Heat the oil in a deep kettle or fryer pot over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the chips a few at a time, and cook until golden brown.
Remove the fried chips to a paper towel lined plate and sprinkle with sea salt or your favorite seasoning and allow to dry.
