Menu for 11/14-11/20

Ok, I know this week that I was going to start saving money on my menu items, and I did.  But, I shopped local and used sale items opposed to coupons.  I don’t have a stock pile and it’s hard to just start from scratch couponing, I think, maybe I’m wrong, but nothing out there is what I needed, so I’m going to start collecting!!!  So for you local folks,  I shopped Carter’s, pork chops, bell peppers(.57 ea), potatoes(1.97 5lb bag), tomatoes(on the vine .97),oh, and salad, there was a coupon for .75 off Dole salad mix, roast and chicken was all on sale…so that’s what I’m using. I had ground beef left from a previous purchase, and lots of canned items.  I felt I did pretty good my first time, I bought dinner for the entire week, and lunches for the 3 of us for 5 days, including drinks, and only spent $57, not bad, especially including meat.

So, here’s my money saving menu!

Monday:  Sausage, Peppers and Potatoes

Tuesday:  Fried Pork Chops, bacon potato hash, and bacon green beans (Clog the arteries night)

Wednesday:  PW Meatballs, mashed potatoes, corn, and mac n cheese (E’s favorite meal)

Thursday:  20 garlic chicken and caprese salad and a green salad as well

Friday:  Roast, potatoes, carrots and onions

Saturday:  First of 3 Thanksgivings, so no cooking for me, well dinner, I’ll make something, just havent’ decided yet…

Sunday:  Quesadillas left over from the roast on Friday….maybe!!!  If not, I’ll post!
